Managing the Built Environment

There is increasing pressure on organisations to reduce the impact of business activities on the economic, social and natural environment. We work closely with industry leaders and technology innovators to deliver end to end solutions that aid the more efficient management of infrastructure through improved performance of critical assets, integrated technologies and building management systems.

BMS & Performance Management

SWG has developed a seamless interface between QFM and the leading global brands in the BMS (Building Management System) market place, combining best in breed technology with operational process. Practically speaking, greater levels of control mean more efficient use of natural resources, reduced waste and a smaller environmental foot print.

The linking of an organisation’s BMS controlled assets into QFM allows alarms raised in the BMS system to indicate a fault or failure and to automatically trigger a maintenance request through QFM. This ensures a rapid response and ultimate business continuity. Similarly, bi-directional links between BMS and QFM Room Bookings ensure that lighting and air conditioning services are provided only when required, so that room utilisation is optimised, energy efficiency is maintained and operational costs are reduced.

BMS & Condition Monitoring

Building Management Systems provide diagnostic technologies which support optimum equipment performance. They can diagnose maintenance and service requirements and anticipate the condition of a piece of equipment or components based on its utilisation and age.

BMS & Predictive Maintenance

BMS Systems can predict impending equipment failure by monitoring asset data, such as age, performance history etc. The system can raise an alarm, automatically notify QFM which logs the job and notifies the contractor, providing the opportunity to attend site prior to equipment failure.
