GDPR compliance software tool

The new EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), which came into force on 25th May 2018, protect the rights of individuals and the data stored about them.  Any organisation that holds personal data about EU individuals and fails to comply with the new law will face severe financial penalties.

To ensure that Facilities and Estates departments remain fully compliant with the new directive, international FM software provider, Service Works Global (SWG), has launched a new GDPR Utility tool.  Designed for use with SWG’s facilities, property and space management software, QFM, and O&M PPP solution, P3rform, the GDPR tool enables data officers to process requests for personal data quickly and efficiently.  It eliminates the risk of manual error and significantly reduces GDPR-related administration time by identifying all instances of personal information.

Requests to delete information data from QFM or P3rform can be fulfilled at the touch of a button. An in-built verification process ensures that data removal can only proceed following secondary authorisation. Anonymisation of deleted information ensures GDPR compliance whilst preserving the integrity of FM and estates-related data for auditing purposes.

Gary Watkins, CEO at SWG says, “We are committed to providing our customers with advanced technology solutions to support legal and regulatory compliance.  The new GDPR Utility tool allows our clients across all sectors to fulfil personal data requests from their FM data with ease. It has been designed to support them in robust GDPR strategies and aid in fulfilling their new legal obligations.”
