Service Works Global (SWG) has published a new eBook entitled Building Lifecycle for FM: Maximising Your Building’s Potential in the Operational Phase which highlights the benefits of building lifecycle management (BLM) for facilities managers (FMs). The eBook features articles from industry experts Paul Thomas, Consultant and IWFM member and Cristine Gausden, UK BIM Alliance member.

BLM offers an unbroken chain of information providing FMs with increased visibility and insight of building assets and their performance. Building information can be gathered throughout the different lifecycle stages from design, construction through to the operations and maintenance phase and can be enriched as the building develops to show an accurate representation of the building and its assets.

Increasingly, FMs are turning to building information modelling (BIM) software and processes to digitise site data. BIM provides users with easy access to the required information whenever they need it, with increased information throughout the building’s lifecycle, and improved service through automated processes.

Download the eBook to learn:

• How to understand and set building priorities
• About harvesting building data to maximise asset efficiency
• How digitisation can be used to understand your building
