News - MCG USer Group

Clients from across Australia  gathered both in Melbourne and dialled in for Service Works’ QFM User Group on Friday 8th April. Over the course of the morning, attendees were shown tips and tricks to get the most from their software, a demonstration of new developments, and gained an insight into the future of QFM through the product roadmap.

After an introduction by Gary Watkins, CEO of Service Works, the morning continued with a presentation from special guests from Melbourne Cricket Ground, which also played host to the User Group. The MCG speakers described how they use QFM to manage the largest sporting stadium in the southern hemisphere, which hosts major sporting events, concerts and cultural events.

Presenters from Service Works then re-took the stage to demonstrate the new functionality created in the latest product updates, including:

  • Multi-contract management
  • Self-Service guest login (ideal for kiosks, for example)
  • Custom satisfaction surveys
  • Improvements to reporting and report scheduling
  • Asset linking

The hot topic of BIM (Building Information Modelling) was also discussed, following increased calls for adoption across Australia. Service Works General Manager, Samantha Fuller, explained how 3D modelling can be used at all stages of the design, build and operation process, with the information gained at each process being stored to allow for more accurate, informed decision making. This valuable data can be integrated with QFM to provide a rich resource for the FM function as well as the wider organisation.
