As facilities managers collect digitized data on a larger scale, the threat of cyber crime is becoming more prevalent. On top of the increased threats during the pandemic, there has also been a rise in attacks since Russia invaded Ukraine. Now more than ever is the time to be investing in securing your organisation’s data and systems, especially within the new post-pandemic era of hybrid working. It is clear that working from home will continue, post-pandemic, to some degree, yet this can pose cyber security risks if sufficient IT protection is not in place. Secure IWMS software is key to a successful workplace strategy and these risks can be combatted with the right vendor partner and software. Read on in our newsletter to see what resources Service Works Global has been developing and researching to assist the industry over the last quarter.

Maintaining Optimum Levels of Cyber Security

With increasing external threats to businesses, Service Works Global (SWG) continues to be committed to improving and maintaining high levels of security within our software, QFM. As well as external penetration testing as standard for each development, weekly automated vulnerability checks are completed to ensure security of code is maintained. Given the significant changes in cyber security since 2020 we urge all clients to upgrade to maintain optimum levels of security.

ISO & Microsoft Certification Renewal

We have successfully renewed our ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certifications, which continue to demonstrate that SWG can deliver exceptional software and services to our clients, alongside robust security controls at a time when cyber threats remain at the forefront of business concerns. Recognized worldwide, ISO 27001 is the gold standard certificate in information security, whilst the ISO 9001 standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation of top management, and continual improvement. Gartner IWMS Market Guide

Independent research and advisory firm Gartner released its Market Guide for Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) last month. Service Works Global has been acknowledged as a Representative Vendor within the guide.

SWG’s CEO Gary Watkins comments: “The importance of digitization and integrated systems continues to grow, especially following the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. SWG feels it’s an honor to be recognized in a global research such as this and we believe it helps identify the future of the technology landscape as well as make it easier for FMs to select the right facilities management software for their organization.”
