How do you manage a 128-acre campus, which caters for 1,500 children from three to 18 years, with state-of-the art sports, arts, and academic facilities, and which even has its own sewerage plant? From leadership and management to technical and compliance knowledge, the key role of the facilities manager in education is the topic of the BIFM Education Special Interest Group event on Wednesday 15 April.

Hosting the 128-acre challenge event is ACS International Schools, whose facilities manager, Oren Gershon, will discuss the strategic and operational demands of running schools in the UK and Qatar. The event also includes talks on estates technology issues in schools and how to solve them from FM software provider Service Works Group, and health and safety as a ‘values’ proposition from independent workplace health, safety and environmental solutions company Assurity Consulting.

“This event is a chance for anyone involved in FM in education to come together to share best practice,” says BIFM Education Special Interest Group Chairman, Jayne Townsend.

The event, which is free for BIFM and non-BIFM members, will be held on Wednesday, 15 April at ACS Schools, Cobham from 5.30 to 8.30 p.m. A complimentary minibus service will run from Esher train station to the venue and on-site parking is also available.

Tickets, which are limited, can be obtained via www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-128-acre-challenge-facilities-management-at-acs-schools-cobham-tickets-15880196094
