Service Works Global (SWG) welcomed their QFM software clients across the UK for a day of insight and best practice on 12th November 2019. This years’ event was held at the magnificent new stadium of our client, Tottenham Hotspur. The impressive state-of-the-art stadium opened to the public in early 2019 and has a capacity of over 62,000, making it one of the largest in the Premier League and the largest in London.

The event kicked off with an introduction to Tottenham Hotspur and how they use QFM to manage their facilities and assets. Over the course of the day, SWG clients were introduced to new QFM functionality such as Microsoft Outlook QFM Bookings integration, enhancements to Dynamic Forms and QFM audits, with live demonstrations and an interactive Q&A session

The main talking point of the day was SWG’s QFM BIM (building information modelling) software, demonstrated by Pål Janson. The audience were fascinated to learn more about the process of 3D modelling, including how models can be created using laser scanners or photographs, and how the information gained can be stored to allow for more accurate, informed decision-making. Pål went on to show how the system synchronises data, displays 3D models and manages documentation within QFM BIM for Building Owners/FMs.

Andrew Carver, SWG’s Chief Operating Officer, then talked about FM and BIM market trends. He also discussed SWG’s product strategy and the benefits that internet of things (IoT) for computer aided facilities management (CAFM) can bring to FMs, with an example of an Australian healthcare client already benefitting from IoT.

The day wrapped up with a tour of the stadium, networking and workshop sessions with account managers and support staff. Clients had the opportunity to learn more about QFM modules that would benefit their organisation, as well as gaining advice on best practice and details about SWG’s online training sessions.
