The project entailed the implementation of a computer aided facilities management (CAFM) system with a fully integrated performance payment mechanism module to log, monitor and report on the hard service provision in the Athletes’ Village at the Pan Am / Parapan Am Games in Toronto, Canada. The event was on a huge scale, catering for 10,000 athletes competing in 36 sports and across 400 events.
Key objectives were to enhance hard service delivery to demonstrate value for the P3 (public-private partnership) project. Results included effectively scheduled work, streamlined processes with a planned preventative maintenance approach that was underpinned by effective performance management and project transparency.
