Helsingborgshem future-proofs operations through digitalisation with SWG.
Helsingborgshem is a public housing company owned by the City of Helsingborg. It has approximately 12,000 apartments from student housing to town houses to senior housing with security and support services.
The company is working with SWG on its digitalisation journey by converting older 2D drawings and digital files in formats such as dwg and pdf into quality-assured, accurately AI-generated BIM models in Revit format.
The project is being carried out in close collaboration with SWG, with the models visualised directly in Geminus Base, SWG’s graphical building information portal within the wider building intelligence ecosystem, Geminus.
SWG’s Plan to BIM service uses AI to transform static, 2D older data into accurate BIM models. This gives Helsingborgshem a solid foundation for a future digital twin environment and ensures that the company can meet its requirements for data security and accuracy.
The main benefits for Helsingborgshem:
- More efficient management: technicians get direct access to clear documentation, saving time during fault reporting and operation.
- Accurate area data: the transition to Revit models provides improved control over building areas which ensures correct rent setting and inspection.
- Cheaper renovations: ready-made 3D models reduce the risk of measurement errors and can lower design costs during renovations.
- Sustainability in focus: better control lays the foundation for circular management and climate-neutral operations.
“We see this as an important step in our digitalisation journey. By creating AI-generated BIM models for the buildings that lack them, we get a solid foundation for our digital twin environment, which will streamline both management and future renovations.”
