SWG newsletter October 2025

From webinars and User Groups to interviews from key FM journals and helping you extract more ROI from our QFM CAFM software, it’s been another busy quarter for us. Read on to see what we’ve been doing and how you can get involved.

QFM release updates

QFM 6.1 builds on QFM’s current QFM BIMi integration by introducing new integration for sensor monitoring which allows users to view the sensor dashboards directly within the QFM interface, for real-time monitoring. QFM’s Monitored values functionality has also been enhanced to support sensor data in QFM BIMi, triggering work orders (including BIM mapping) when thresholds are breached.

QFM (web and mobile’s) SSO (single sign-on) integration has been enhanced to include Keycloak. Keycloak enables integrated authentication and authorisation into applications while offering customisable login flows, role-based access control, and support for multi-factor authentication. It’s highly extendable and can be deployed on-premises or in cloud environments, making it a flexible choice for modern enterprise security needs.

We have also developed several enhancements to existing functionality including the PPM Schedule Planner, Parts and Stock, asset reporting and accessibility of attachments.

Customer-centric events around the globe

Our North America office hosted a successful client User Group event last month, presenting the opportunity for QFM users to network, share knowledge, and ask questions about our tech and its best practice. Thank you to everyone who attended the day. Our next User Group will be held on 6th May 2026, and clients in North America can speak to their account manager to hear more.

CA User Group Edit2

Our general manager and MD for Canada, Kelly Widger and Samantha Fuller will be joining our CEO Mats Broman at the annual CCPPP conference on 27th and 28th November in downtown Toronto. If you’re planning to attend, or are in the area, contact us to arrange a chat about your FM and PPP challenges.

We’re also pleased to announce our next User Group in Australia, hosted at our valued partners, New South Wales Parliament House in Sydney. We’re welcoming clients in the region to join us on 24th March 2026; speak to your SWG account manager to register.

QFM x SFG20 webinar

QFM is now integrated with SFG20’s Facilities IQ platform which opens a new way to improve maintenance and asset management, and streamlines compliance. In our recent webinar we showed the power of combining SFG20’s industry-standard maintenance schedules with SWG’s leading facilities and asset management software by watching the webinar recording here.

FMA National Summit, Sydney, Australia – We’re speaking

Roshan Jhoomuck and Samantha Fuller are speaking as guests of the FMA (Facility Management Association) in Sydney, Australia, at the National Summit Maintenance Management. Don’t miss our talk on 22nd October, ‘Debugging Software Selection’, giving practical advice and time saving tips on choosing the right software for your organisation. Get in touch to catch up with SWG if you’re attending the event.

Breaking the barriers in PropTech adoption

‘UK property professionals are slow on the PropTech (property technology) uptake’, according to Facilitate Magazine’s recent survey results, and SWG’s marketing director, Hazel Bedson, shares her views on how tech is being adopted in the sector and strategies for improved success.

Maximising sensor investment

There’s a divide in organisations switching to sensors, which have high potential for time and money saving, but require an initial investment. FMs are beginning to see the benefits of DDM (data-driven, or predictive maintenance) over PPM (planned preventative maintenance),  and Hazel Bedson explains why this trend is only growing in a recent issue of Facilitate Magazine.

Digital twins for smarter facilities management

At Digital Construction Week in London this year, SWG’s product solution manager, Pal Janson partnered with Steve Rudge from our sister company, Symetri, to discuss how to use digital twins to revolutionise asset management. Creating virtual replicas of physical assets is a powerful tool that helps organisations move from reactive maintenance to proactive maintenance – especially when integrated with the right CAFM system.

Maximising your ROI from CAFM software

Keep an eye on our new blog series focussed on how choosing the right CAFM can give you clear, reportable ROI. Our latest blog is ‘Maximising ROI from CAFM: Performance-based and PPP contracts’, talking about how common issue with performance-based and PPP contracts can be solved and money can be saved by using CAFM.
