In the fast-paced facilities management industry, keeping pace with technological change and new trends is vital. Over the years, Service Works Group has produced research revealing many trends which have helped give facilities managers a picture of the industry and help them prepare for new challenges.

We are currently looking into how technology is impacting the FM profession,  following research last year which showed that technology is perceived as the most important resources for FMs.

See how 2016 compares to last year, where highlights included:

  • 77% used software tools (including Excel) to manage the FM function
  • 65% identified mobile usage as a significant FM software technology trend
  • Just 25% use their FM software application for FM self-service
