Jernhusen is investing in a new real estate system with SWG as a partner

Jernhusen, which owns a network of properties close to railways in Sweden, has chosen to expand its mission with Service Works Global (SWG), a subsidiary of Addnode Group. The expansion includes the delivery of a new property system alongside the creation and management of an asset database which, together, form the platform for managing building information from a building lifecycle perspective. The contract is worth approximately SEK 9 million over 4 years.

It feels good that we have now taken another step in our digital transformation by creating better support for the technical and financial management in the form of a new property system. It’s exciting that at the same time we get the opportunity to structure the information build-up around the buildings from a life cycle perspective, says Anders Mellring, CIO/CDO at Jernhusen.

Jernhusen has previously been an FM-services customer at SWG, which includes keeping their BIM model and drawing archives up to date. The service is now further expanded to also include the handling of data between projects and management, which supports Jernhusen’s ambition to work with unbroken information flows during a building’s lifecycle.

We are very happy about our long collaboration with Jernhusen and that they give us increased confidence in delivering a modern management platform. It feels extra fun that, within the framework of FM Services, we are also given the task of collecting, structuring and making available all building information for the employees, regardless of in which processes it is used or where the work is carried out, says Mats Broman, CEO of SWG Nordic AB.

The project to implement the new FM system starts immediately and ends in December 2021.
